Discover this little village, with its earthen homes, traditional fortified storehouse and bucolic panorama of barley fields and almond trees.
Located in a remote valley weaving through the limestone plains above Irocha, Ait Oaziz has retained allits ancient Berber authenticity.
The hike starts up the mountain from Irocha, following a mule path for 30 minutes, to the plateau above, with its panoramic view of the Tisselday valley.
Walking across the plain, you will reach a downward slope into a dry riverbed, and finally the village of AitOaziz.
There, you can stop for a picnic or a home-cooked taginein a home, and take a walk through the village.
To get home, we will either go back the way we came orkeep going and return through the Glaoui’s Kasbah, with its garden and mountain spring.
A daypack is also useful.
